The YMCA’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring (BPSM) Program is: A four month commitment to communicate with a Healthy Heart Ambassador once a week Participants attend monthly nutrition education seminars Participants “self-monitor”, or measure and track their own blood pressure at home

The YMCA’s BPSM Program is designed to help participants:

  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Improve blood pressure management
  • Increase awareness of triggers that elevate blood pressure
  • Enhance knowledge to develop healthier eating habits.
